The Albanian Riviera. Many people haven’t even heard of it, which makes it a small piece of Mediterranean coastline that still remains largely unexploited and wild.

Camp fire moments under a starry sky, tucked in between mountains and sea with one of my favourite adventure ladies, aka my beautiful sister.

↟ Because sometimes I just need to wander off alone. Bath in natural surroundings, get humbled by mighty mountains, have conversations with none but birds and trees, and let it all recharge my human batteries.

On Monday night I got back to my cabin after attending my sweet old grandpa’s funeral.

A few lonely pine trees that got spared when the rest of the forest was clear cut, here highlighted by the aurora and the waxing moon a couple of weeks back.

I’m mildly obsessed with cabins and small living spaces. It’s something about the simplicity and feeling of being tightly enclosed that I find so comforting.

I love meeting people who dream big, and Björn, the visionary and owner of @auroraigloohotel in Jokkmokk, sure qualify to that list.

I cannot quite recall a prettier winter, but maybe that’s because I wasn’t ever fully present for it, at least not in my native northern Sweden due to my nomadic spirit.

Somewhere here in the red deserts of the US my life took a new direction just over a decade ago.
